What is Emby?

Emby is media server software for organizing and streaming personal media collections from hardware you control. It supports music libraries alongside video and other content, with apps and plugins across multiple platforms.

How Atero works with Emby

Add your Emby server in Settings → Music Server Settings with your URL and credentials. Atero syncs your music library for browsing, then streams tracks directly from your server. Playback can be reported back to Emby when supported.

Emby support in Atero uses the same music playback, download, radio, and Android Auto paths as Jellyfin and Navidrome where noted below. Some product surfaces differ by design — for example, album- or artist-level favorites are not offered for any music server.
